I am currently working on updating my portfolio (long overdue) and wanted to produce a quick editorial image for a kids magazine. After perusing the interweb this morning for a suitable subject, I came across an online mag for kids with lots of great inspiration for illustrations.I love pirates and this artical (written by Dr. Bennet) about all their nasty diseases seemed like a perfect choice. It made me quite sad to draw this guy, soon to be residing in Davy Jones's Locker.

Thanks! It is sad to see him so ill. He needs a nice cup of herbal tea I think!
